The concept of the Statuary was started by Boyd back in 1986. Boyd saw the concrete business as something "easy" his wife could do while taking care of two small children. Needless to say, it was anything but easy. Over the last 20 years we have learned a tremendous amount and every family member has earn their own respective degrees from the "University of Hard Knocks". What started out as a "mom-and-pop"
operation with two small children eventually led to a mom and pop business with five children. The business has also expanded to locations in Sioux Falls and Elk Point, South Dakota.
Stephanie, and her husband Cliff operate the business in Sioux Falls. They have a little helper, Keturah, who keeps them busy when they have a free second from the business. Cliff handles all the manufacturing of the concrete products. Stephanie handles the patching, and painting aspect. Keturah enjoys getting into everything while trying to "help" mom and dad do the work. A new addition was added to the family in Nov. 2007 with the birth a Michael.
